I have been teaching Pilates since 2014, after I was introduced to it in my college dance program. I am fully certified in STOTT® Pilates, a rehab-based method, and I also hold certifications in BarreAbove® and CORE™, an athletic agility program.

Pilates is what allowed me to withstand my rigorous dance training, and continues to be a stabilizing force for me both mentally and physically. Nothing compares with how it integrates the mind and body, improves alignment and body mechanics, and relieves stress. Plus, it's fun! Pilates can be done using body weight, small props, or spring tension on various pieces of apparatus to challenge and support the body.

Whether you are dealing with chronic pain, are pre/post natal, or simply want to get stronger, I can guide you through movement in a neutral and compassionate manner.

MY PHILOSOPHY AND VALUES

I believe every person deserves to feel strong, mobile, and at home in their own body, regardless of ability, size, skin color, religion, sexual orientation, or gender identity. I believe exercise should always first and foremost be an act of self care, and never an act of self violence or punishment. My teaching style reflects this. I believe in functional movement, and working smart.

I also acknowledge the ways in which historically, Pilates and the fitness world has perpetuated harm in upholding white superiority, and thin superiority. I am dedicated to dismantling these ingrained ideals within myself, my teaching practice, and through an ongoing effort to make Pilates accessible and serving to all people.

Whether in person or meeting online, she's able to help me fine tune my movements. I leave our sessions feeling stronger and happy I'm taking care of my body with long term health in mind."
